Melanin poppin! Hi guys and welcome back to the blog.

One of the questions I get asked most on snapchat –my handle is nbifashiongeek by the way add a sister– is “what hair is that” or “what lipstick are you wearing” today I tackle the later.

I am a dark skinned African woman (and very proud to be so) and up until recently getting make up products that matched our complexion was nearly impossible, especially when it came to the lips. The shades I found were either too light and ashy or dull and grey.

After going through a few many epic fails, I found a couple of gems which I will share with you.

Below are my favorite lip combos, remember a lip liner is a MUST before applying any  lipsticks, trust me the difference will amaze you. (and please throw away that black pencil you use as an eyeliner, brow filler and lip liner.. we are not in 1985)

All of the products shown below are readily available in Kenya. All contacts will be listed at the end.

Enjoy the post
